MAUZAC
This is a traditional multifacetted grape variety from the Gaillac region.  It is at its best when used in the making of numerous white wines: dry white, sweet white and sparkling. Apple and pear flavours characterise this grape variety. It produces smooth wines low in acidity. There are some wonderful wines made solely from Mauzac.  This grape variety is found only in Gaillac and Limoux.  It is excellent for making sparkling wines.
